Admission Procedure for the Session 2011 - 2012
Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary(or Class XII or equivalent examination) recognized by the University of North Bengal.
Candidates from ISC, CBSE, National Open School or other recognized Boards must have passed in at least four academic subjects (excluding Environmental Studies) with English as Compulsory Subject.
The Cut off marks for accepting application forms are as follows:
1) Those candidates who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours course in the subject concerned.
For SC/ST candidates the minimum marks for eligibility to apply for admission to Honours course is (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% in the aggregate with 60% in the subject concerned.
2) For General Courses an applicant must have passed with at least 40% in the aggregate.
Honours students will be admitted on the basis of merit according to the formula provided by the University of North Bengal.
