A College with a difference

6th and 7th January 2012

North Bengal St. Xavier’s College held its ANNUAL SPORTS DAYS on 6^th and 7^th January 2012. The tempo was gradually built up from December onwards when the Semi- Finals for different events like Basket Ball, Throw Ball, Volley Ball, etc, were organized. On the final days a few more events such as CRICKET, FOOTBALL, TUG o´ WAR and MUSICAL CHAIR were added to the list.

The Chief Guest for the final day was Mr. Chandan Kumar Chanda, famous International Football player, who is presently National Football Coach with Sports Authority of India (SAI). He had words of encouragement and appreciation for our students. He praised their sportsmanship and team spirits, and said some of the students played with professionalism. He expressed happiness with the ambience of the Campus and spirit of perceptible synergy.

The competitions were between Arts & Science verses Commerce & BBA. The staff members added colour and vigour to the event by involving themselves in the organization and conduct of the events with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Sports Days were truly a celebration of youthful energy, exuberance and enthusiasm.
